Kaimamaku Landcare Group workshop – 24 Nov

Hi folks

Advance notice…

The Kaimamaku Landcare Group will be hosting a workshop ‘Caring For Kiwis: What We Can Do’ on Sunday 24th November at 840 Old Russell Rd.
1pm start till about 4pm. There will be the opportunity for a bush walk afterwards.

You are welcome to bring your own lunch about noon if you’d like to chat beforehand.

Topics covered will include: the Kiwi Coast project and the role of our Landcare group (Ngaire Tyson); what we can learn from the experience of successful Landcare groups in the area (Whangarei Heads Landcare Group); the next stage of the rat control project; and a demonstration of possum trapping (NRC).

http://www.landcare.org.nz/Regional-Focus/Whangarei-Office/Kiwi-Coast
has more information about the Kiwi Coast project, which we’ll be linked in with.

Please let me know if you’re likely to attend the workshop and do pass on the invitation to anyone in the area who you think might be interested.

We’ll be circulating more information about the workshop shortly and will maildrop a leaflet to all local landowners a couple of weeks before the event.

With best wishes
Mick
